APPRAISALS

The staff at the Folk Music Center has been appraising instruments for over 50 years. One purpose of an appraisal is to provide a statement of replacement value for insurance purposes. We also appraise for fair market and resale purposes. We use the IRS definition of fair market value.

The appraisal fee is based on time invested in researching and writing the appraisal, not on the value of the instrument.

*There is no charge for a verbal appraisal.
