Joti Rockwell with special guest artists in this interactive concert featuring J. S. Bach’s C minor cello suite and E major violin partita played on mandocello, guitar, mandolin, and mandola. Joti, professor of music at Pomona College who performs a range of styles in multiple genres will also talk about the history of the mandolin family in the United States. The performance will conclude with some traditional mandolin pieces from the twentieth century.
